FOUNDING PARTNER

Soujoud C. Hamade

Soujoud C. Hamade is the founding partner of HNH Law Group, PLLC. She advises business owners, entrepreneurs, investors, and nonprofit organizations on commercial transactions, real estate, contracts, corporate governance, franchise matters, trademarks, and regulatory compliance.

Soujoud works with clients at every stage of a business’s development. She helps form new entities, establish agreements among owners, negotiate commercial leases and property purchases, protect brands, and structure the contracts that support daily operations and growth. Her work includes commercial leases, real estate purchase and sale agreements, operating agreements, business purchase agreements, franchise documents, licensing agreements, and other commercial contracts.

Clients turn to Soujoud for clear advice on decisions that carry lasting consequences. She takes time to understand the business behind each matter, explain the practical effect of proposed terms, and identify issues before they become disputes. Her goal is to help clients enter agreements with a sound understanding of both the opportunity and the risk.

Before founding HNH Law Group, Soujoud practiced at Dykema Gossett, where she worked on legislative drafting, regulatory research, nonprofit matters, and legal issues involving public and private clients. Her earlier experience in the Michigan Legislature and public policy gives her insight into how laws are developed and put into practice.

Soujoud also served as Director of Safety and Compliance for Glorious Cannabis Co., one of Michigan’s largest and most sophisticated cultivation operations. Working with executive and operations leadership, she developed policies and procedures, conducted internal audits, managed licensing matters, and helped implement complex regulatory requirements. Today, she brings that operational perspective to clients navigating regulated industries.

In addition to her business practice, Soujoud serves as of counsel to nonprofit organizations, advising on governance, organizational structure, contracts, and compliance. She values helping organizations establish the legal foundations they need to pursue their missions with confidence.

Soujoud served as the inaugural president of the Michigan Chapter of the National Arab American Bar Association, helping grow its membership from approximately 50 to more than 250. She now serves as the chapter’s chair and on NAABA’s national board. She is also vice chair of the MENA Chamber of Commerce. Her previous board service includes the Dearborn Public School Education Foundation, Al Nadwa Foundation, and the Arc of Northwestern Wayne. She also served as treasurer of the Iraqi American Foundation.

Soujoud was named a Michigan Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 and was recognized by Michigan Celebrates Small Business in 2026. Her honors also include the Advocate for Humanity Award from the Arab American Civil Rights League, recognition in Arab America Foundation’s 30 Under 30, and recognition for pro bono service from the State Bar of Michigan.

Whether a client is starting a business, negotiating a major agreement, investing in property, or guiding a nonprofit, Soujoud brings careful legal work, candid advice, and a commitment to understanding what the client is trying to achieve.
